Pencil Drawings
In 2018, I've started drawing / doodling more freeform rather than limiting myself to geometric kilim designs. It started when I got bored while camping one day, and I started to doodle my surroundings. This coincided with my sharing my love of Doctor Who with my kids, who I deemed finally old enough to start watching. And, oh, by the way, they caught me watching "after" they were "supposed" to go to bed one night :)) The next day, I introduced them to Doctor Who with "Robot of Sherwood" played by Peter Capaldi, and the rest is history. They absolutely loved it as much as I do, and have since watched every episode of the 12 Doctor's period, working back through the 11th Doctor's era. In any case, with this backdrop, I began to entertain them by drawing scenes from Doctor Who episodes we'd watched together. They like waking up in the morning and checking out the new drawings - we've now started to draw together. You know, there is a lot we can learn from kids...forgotten ways of thinking simple, having fun, and being happy.
